Transportation to the Interior of Catalina Island

Private Interior Shuttles are a year-round service providing quick and convenient Catalina Island transportation.  Our spacious Toyota Sienna minivans hold up to 6 passengers with luggage and gear. Catalina shuttles are based out of Avalon and run 7 days per week from 7am to 9pm (Hours of operation subject to change without notice).  If you don’t see the time you are looking for please call our main office Monday through Friday 310-510-0342 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Catalina shuttles are based in Avalon, so reservations for pick-ups outside Avalon city limits are highly recommended.


Hikers looking to trek the majestic hillsides of Catalina Island can begin their journey by taking a taxi into the interior and hike back into Avalon. Hikers must obtain a free hiking permit from the Catalina Conservancy. For more information and to obtain your free hiking permit click here: Hiking Permit.

Airport in the Sky

Approximately 30 minutes

A perfect destination for a few hours. Catalina's airport also features the DC-3 Cafe, unique shopping and great hiking trails.

Take a ride up and walk back to Avalon for spectacular views of the island and the mainland. A great way to experience Catalina Island.

Approximately 1 hour, 20 minutes

Escape to the West End of Catalina Island, where adventures abound, including kayaking, snorkeling and hiking. You'll never forget this unique destination.

A beautiful spot for a picnic, Haypress features a playscape, barbecues and hiking trails. Bison are frequently spotted near the pond.

One of the most scenic spots on the island and a destination for hikers and campers. An ideal beach day for those looking to escape the crowds.

This popular campground is located in the middle of the island and is a frequent stopping point along the Trans Catalina Trail. Reservations required.
